Gary Hayes, the director for LAMP (Australian Laboratory for Advanced Media Production) has created a seven minute stroll through fifty virtual worlds.

The piece is an interesting and fairly comprehensive visual overview of the expanding metaverse mosaic.

This is a pretty neat video that was obvious the product of a lot of effort and time. But after awhile all these new virtual worlds run together in my brain. Perhaps its just the signs of the beginnings of the industry, but one would hope for greater diversity in an media format that offers so much potential.
